Run by Kona Honu Divers aboard Honu One. Your first dive is a late-afternoon reef dive among lava tubes and Hawaiian reef fish. Between dives you have a light meal and a briefing on manta biology while the sun goes down.

After dark you descend to the campfire, an area on the sea floor lit by powerful lights. The lights draw plankton, and the mantas come in to feed, gliding and somersaulting just above your head.

Who can dive

Divers need an Open Water certification or higher and must have dived within the last two years, otherwise a refresher is needed first. Ages 16 and up, under 18 with a parent or guardian.
